Without a cure, an estimated 5 million Americans (not just women) will be diagnosed with breast cancer - and more than 1 million could die - over the next 25 years. That's a pretty startling statistic. No one should have to face this disease, so in order to create a future without breast cancer, I walk in the Breast Cancer 3-Day.

It's a 60-mile walk over the course of three days that raises funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. This year will be my 5th time walking in the 3-Day, and I truly appreciate your continued support - I couldn't have previously raised over $10,000 without your help!

You are probably aware that my grandmother died when I was 7, and my best friend grew up without a mom...all because of breast cancer. They are the reasons I started walking. You're the reason I keep walking. For you, for me, for our friends, our family and everyone they know. I have to keep walking.

Walking 60 miles is hard, but I will keep walking until breast cancer is no longer. I walk because everyone deserves a lifetime. I walk because I can.
