MY PROGRESS

63 percent of goal achieved.

Goal:  $2,200.00
Achieved: $1,384.00

Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.

About me: I'm a 30-something attorney in California. A client and friend convinced/nagged me to join him in this cause. Breast cancer is an issue that impacts families, not just woman.

Why I am walking: My grandmother was a victim. My mom is a survivor. My wife, daughter and sister are healthy and I would like to keep in that way by supporting ongoing research effort to treat and prevent breast cancer.

I Got My New Shoes!
I haven't been doing much this week because I have been really business at the office. However, I did get a new pair of running shoes.

By the way, I strongly recommend Movin Shoes. Their website is http://www.movinshoes.com/. The spent 20 minutes helping me pick the right. They had great great priced and service.

My First Day Training
At the urging of Little Tommy Sablan, producer of the Jeff & Jer Showgram on Star 94.1 in San Diego, I joined The Breast Cancer 3-Day this week. I even received my first donation.

Tommy organized a training walk to get his group together for the first time yesterday. He already has over 25 people on his team and has raised nearly $4000.

I walked from the parking lot at De Anza Cover to about 1/2 mile past the entrance to Fiesta Island. I figure I walked about 6 miles total.

My legs are a little sore this morning, but I have no blisters. I'm going to pick some better shoes this week now that I know what to expect.

Keep checking back for updates on my training and progress.
