What if you could change an attitude, a mind, a life, a mission by going for a walk? That is what we hope, and pray with expectation, will happen!
As most of you know, my mother, Vicki Rogers, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in September of 2005. She is a fighter, and because of her strength, courage, and the advice and treatment by a wonderful Doctor and the Great Physician, she is now cancer free!! Praise the Lord!
It was during her diagnosis, surgeries, treatment, and frequent doctor's visits that I really began to realize the advances made in breast cancer research and treatment. With that realization came the understanding that my mother might not have had the same chance, had she been diagnosed 5 years ago, that she had 3 years ago, and that others have today.
These advances, in large part are due to the awareness and certainly the funds raised by the Susan G. Komen Foundation. For the past 4 years, friends and family have joined us in the 3.2 mile Race for the Cure. With your help, we have raised thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. One more time, I will ask for your help!
My mom, sister, myself, and my mom's best friend Coleen are joining together to take the 3-day Challenge. We will walk 60 miles, together, and each raise $2,300 in an effort to find a cure so that no other mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, or daughters have to face this fight.
We're counting on your support, both financially and in prayer. Please join us in the fight for a cure!
Love, Tiffany
