a week l8er, and still recovering...
Fun, is not the word - an EXPERIENCE, that's the WORD!
All the volunteers, the intersection bikers (two wheel and motor) who helped us cross, and keep up our morale, the cheer STATIONs, but even more - the random people on the sides of the road, helping us keep going, through the pain, the rain, and the monotony of it all!
What got me through it all?
I figured, these people can go through diagnosis, chemo and the rest...i can handle 3 days of foot pain. What's ibuprofen for, after all?
Wore my foot boot all week at school, got some comfy slippers for home.
I now have a blister under my big toe, but it is healing - i had NO BLISTERS while walking, and was able to share my band-aids with others...
All the people cheering for 3 days, helping out at the pit stops, grab n gos =dunno if could put my body through it again - but it is an experience of a LIFEtime!

the boobs were TOTALLED over a week ago...
the toaster will be quite the FABulous vehicle at the auction block- in ALL HER GLORY, BOOBS BE PROUD...still on the windshield.

xB's front end was shirred off, damage to the frame. but i was fine, the other driver and his pregnant wife were fine.

new car is on the boat from JAPAN. a new honda FIT SPORT. sorry, no time to refit her for a new set of BOOBIES-she will NOT arrive before the 3 day...BUMMER.

My school fundraisers will total about $450 when all is said and done~ wonderful staff and students at my Peoria Transition Center School, in Peoria Unified.

A Truly wonderful mgr at Paradise Bakery in Surprise is donating cookies for re-sale to my school Nov 16/17th, for some always needed last minute donations.

I am truly blessed to have friends look out for us, Lori Pearson!

A Pizza Party was held for team members' (Brenda & Katie) efforts last night in Chandler ( i believe) and there will ALSO be a bowling fundraiser in Chandler/Tempe the weekend following the walk, as well - Nov 21st, details to follow.
Proceeds from 2 hrs of bowling plus bake sale and raffle tix will benefit our team.

The team is at 70+% right now- we still have monies coming in with more fundraisers in the next few weeks.

Thanks for all your help - please continue help us through this last part, and check the cheerings staions posted in the blog.

random acts of kindness!
while i was showing my car to employees at fresh and easy, baseline, Tempe, AZ - a woman came up to me in the parking lot and handed me a $10 and said, "SAVE 2ND BASE...how cool is that!!!!
that is my FIRST donation, based on my car, that i know of~
ah i love life.

fundraisers planned but still need help!
we're selling Gold Canyon Candles, will be selling pink ribbon mini-tote bags, and have a GOLDbuyback, AND Silver jewelry party planned for October.
Need help with donations for a raffle!

Car to be re-decorarated...
Well, my car will be washed and redecorated in the next week, Aug 24-28th...
If i could make the evening news, maybe more people would donate a few bucks - when my car makes them smile/laugh, or give a thumbs up (younger boys...).

the boobs been out and about!
in Scottsdale and Chandler, then up to Flagstaff this past friday July 10th.
I even waved at the cop waiting to get speeders on my way into Flag friday morning.
You should have seen the looks when they see the windshield - holy mackerel! A few "thumbs up," and few smiles...it's all good.
But we need the dollars, i must add my name and ask more about donating "if they can read..."
