My goal is that in my lifetime, we will find the cure for breast cancer. And with that breakthrough, we will also find the cure for all cancers. The 3-Day is personal to me because I am a breast cancer survivor. This is my cancer. I must do this as my contribution to the cure.

WHY I CONTINUE MY WALK -Unless you have been told "You have cancer", it is very hard to understand the passion behind working towards a cure. Cancer is personal. Cancer changes your life forever. You can’t turn back the clock and pretend it didn’t happen. You think about it every day. You wake up wondering if and when it will return. You pray. You continue to wear pink. For a breast cancer survivor like me, it is the walk of life.

The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk that’s making a real difference in the fight against breast cancer. In 2016, Susan G. Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why we walk, and why we raise money—to make that goal a reality.
