Dear Family and Friends,
In a few short weeks I will be walking in my 19th Susan G. Komen 3DAY/60MILE walk in the fight against breast cancer. In so many ways, it feels like only yesterday when I heard those four words that changed my life forever: "you have breast cancer". In other ways, it feels like a lifetime ago.
This walk is not my “first time at the rodeo” sort to speak.
It is not my first-time training for weeks on end to walk 20miles a day for 3days. It is not my first time getting prepared to sleep in a tent, use porta-showers and porta-potties, walk in the heat, or the rain, up hills and down hills and everything in between. My legs will be sore, and no doubt I will have several blisters as souvenirs.
Unfortunately, it will not be my first-time walking with women who have lost both their breasts, been thrown into menopause, and rendered infertile from their chemotherapy treatments. Some in their late 20’s and early 30’s and its heartbreaking to hear. I have walked with mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, and friends who have lost someone too soon to breast cancer. They were robbed of so many of life’s milestones.
And of course, this is not your “first time at the rodeo” either.
Every year I ask you to donate your hard-earned money to help me raise much needed funds in the fight against breast cancer. And EVERY SINGLE YEAR, your overwhelming support with your generous donations have MADE THE DIFFERENCE. YOU have made my cause, YOUR cause as well.
I would be remiss if I did not mention my incredibly supportive and amazing husband Win. This is not his “first time at the rodeo” either. He has been right by my side from day one of diagnosis. This will be his 19th year as an incredible, very hard-working crew member.
I ask you now as I have so many times before, to please donate whatever you can. ANY amount is so appreciative. And if you have an opportunity through your workplace to match your donation, that is even better!
Please make your donation today.

From the bottom of our hearts as always, we are so appreciative and humbled by your support. Your generous donations, your encouraging words, and mostly, your love and friendship. It all means so much to us.
Fondly, Liz and Win
