My wife Sarah passed away at 39 years old, leaving me to raise our 11 and 8 year old daughters without her.
For her, breast cancer came out of nowhere. She was skiing in March of last year and in a wheelchair by May. By the time the cancer was diagnosed, it had spread to her bones throughout her body and threatened to paralyze her. It is a vicious disease that attacks without warning and doesn't care how wonderful, loved, and valuable its victim is.
Please help me do my part to finding a cure for this terrible disease so that one day it will no longer be able to take away anyone else's wife, mom, daughter, or friend.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it's not as hard as breast cancer, not as hard as chemo, and certainly not as hard as saying goodbye to our loved ones.
