We walk because we must.
We are strong because the journey demands it.
Together in body and united in spirit,
we lay down our footsteps for this generation and the next.
This is our promise: a world without breast cancer.
~And we will never give up.
This September I will be walking 60 Miles in CHICAGO, my 12th 3-Day event. I walk for Strong Survivors: my sister-in-law, two cousins, an amazing friend from my days working at Greenfield Village, and several other friends I have met along the way. Most importantly I am walking in memory of an amazing, spirited, full of life's zest woman who earned her wings on FEBRUARY 29, 2020. She inspired me to take a stand, to be a part of something greater than myself. I am not a survivor, but I walk for myself, too, because I can, because I, in a small way, can make a difference. I can’t take Cancer away, but the money I raise can help to find a cure, help to fund a mammogram, help to educate, and that may save future generations of women (and men!) from this terrible disease.
So here is where I ask for your help in reaching my goal. Any amount, be it $5 or $500, or anywhere in between, is greatly appreciated!

Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
