This journey began in 2009 as a way to celebrate my mom's 10-year anniversary of being breast cancer-free. I still participate today in honor of my mom, who as of this walk will be a 23-year survivor, for those fighting now, and in memory of some very dear friends who've lost their battle to this disease. Instead of walking this year I will put myself in service to the walkers, volunteering for 4 days to make sure each walker's experience is what they deserve it to be.
Please support me as I commit to this incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m participating and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
