Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
I have completed the 60-mile walk twice, once in 2015 in Seattle and once in 2016 in San Diego. I then was medical crew in 2017 in Dallas Texas and now 2022 I'm looking to walk again.
On May 30, 2018 I was teaching in Ft. Bend Tx when I got the call from my mother stating she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was scared but strong, and had the will to fight and beat it. As I sat in my hotel room that night I never thought it would be my own mother who I was walking for. The doctor's were able to catch it in time and she was treated with surgery and radiation and now is doing great.
Just recently I have had a friend get diagnosed with breast cancer and once again it makes me think. So I ask that you support my effort to walk in Chicago in 2022 by making a donation to Susan G Komen on behave of me, and lets beat this horrible disease.
