So much to say but enough time or words to put together! If you know me, you know I started the Las Bombas 3-Day Team in 2005 with a team of 5. I formed the team for RJ, my best friend from high school who was diagnosed then (and is a SURVIVOR now! ).
Little did I realize that the Las Bombas team and 3-Day walk in 2005 would became what it is today! so many memories and friendships made over the years. We've walked and cried for the survivors who won the fight, the warriors who keep on fighting and for the angels that lost their battle.
Here are some of our team highlights :
- Las Bombas raised over $875,000 in the last 16 years!
- The 3-Day recognized Las Bombas as the Biggest Team in Phoenix in 2008 & 2009 with 91 and 75 members
- The 3-Day recognized Las Bombas with the Most Money Raised in Phoenix in 2008 & 2009 with $330,000 for both years!
- Las Bombas has been a Top Five Team in 2008, 2009 and 2010
While I stopped doing the 3-Day to run my business, Jacki (20+ year SURVIVOR) took over the team and the team has been walking ever since! I joined them in Boston in 2019 when our goal was to raise the rest of our $1M dollars. That event sold out too quickly so here we are again!
Since 2005 we have raised over $875,000.00 and we are trying to reach our goal of $1,000,000.00!! We are looking for new walkers, past walkers and crew to help us reach this goal!! We would love to make this happen in 2021 in San Diego!
We need 53 people to walk with us and raise $2300 each for us to reach our goal.
(There is an option to walk 1 Day and raise $750)
How can you help us?
We would LOVE for you to join our team! I guarantee this will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life! You can walk 3 days and raise $2300 or walk 1 day and raise $750.
You can also donate to me or any of my teammates. We will also be hosting some fundraising events (COVID permitting)and you can help us by attending these events or donating raffle prizes.

P.S. Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
