As many of you already know, I'm a 3-day, 60 mile walker for Susan G. Komen. Since we didn't get to walk in 2020, I've decided to double it up in 2022!
Your support and prayers mean the world to me. While research will someday find a cure, today, I have the opportunity to spread hope. Dubbed "The Praying Walker", you can find me praying with strangers throughout the 60 mile journey.
I have officially raised over $22,000 lifetime dollars to date and prayed with countless hurting people. Wow. I still can't believe that. I wouldn't be here with you!
I started walking for Komen in honor of my Aunt Peggy, who I lost to breast cancer on December 30, 2012.
I continue to walk because I believe there is still hope for ground breaking research and access to community programs. Each year I do this, I see people getting their lives back because of Komen. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Komen believes that as many as 1/3 of men and women dying from breast cancer could live if they simply had access to timely medical care. Komen is the 2nd largest funder of breast cancer research, second only to the US government. By pouring money into research, Komen plans to reduce the death rate of breast cancer by 50% in the next decade. I want to be a part of saving those lives. I will walk as long as my legs are able, because I know it's making a difference. If I can help someone not to say good-bye too soon, my steps are not wasted. Thank you for continuing to support me on this journey. I believe every single step makes a difference in the life of someone, and your prayer, encouragement, and giving help to do that.
Blessings to you,
