I just finished my 5th Susan G. Komen 3-Day fundraiser in November 2017 down in San Diego. Thank you for all the support for these last 5 years! I have had a GREAT time! So much so that I have just signed up my 6th Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk in Seattle which will be in September 2018.
I will be 64 years old this year. I have had CANCER 3 times and have been cancer free for 12 years now.
I know the emotional and physical drain it takes on the body and mind! When I heard the first time (in 1998) that I had cancer, my first thought is “CANCER I’m coming to die”. I did not heard another word the doctor said on that appointment. Second time (in 2004) I heard I had cancer “I was devastated”. The third time (in 2006) I was told I had it again! I are more than devastated I was totally crashed …I knew I was going to die this time. What I did not know was the doctor knew my cancer was in the early stage and I could survive and live a long great life.
I also know how it feels to watch my love ones go through cancer. I watched my Dad and my older brother with their fight and the loss of their lives after fighting so hard to beat this disease. It took these too and too many others and stripped them of their pride, their confidence and their dignity. It left them shells of themselves. It is so heartbreaking! They fought so hard, but couldn’t beat this damn Cancer!
I currently have my younger brother that is going through his treatment and will have to the rest of his life.
I do not want to see any other family have to experience these things that I have with this damn disease: in going through cancer or watching a loved one deal with cancer.
WE NEED TO FIND A CURE and by walking as long as I can, I feel I’m doing my part to help to find a cure!
Won’t you please support me by donating to my page in honor or memory of your loved one! Together WE CAN FIND A CURE! If we can find a cure for one cancer, I’m sure we will find cures for the other cancers.
Thank you for your support!!
