Line up 8 women you know, close your eyes and choose 1 -- that 1 will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It is scary -- it's why I walk. I am MORE than PINK – I’m a fighter- a fighter for all that have been touched by Breast Cancer. An estimated 1.7 million women and men were diagnosed with breast cancer around the world in 2012. That’s one case diagnosed every 19 seconds.
So many people are touched by this disease. Your mom, sister/brother, friend, daughter, cousin, aunt, grandmother, coworker, or even you may have been affected by this disease. We need to continue the fight to find the cure and END this disease.
Susan G. Komen has put out the bold goal of reducing Breast Cancer Deaths by 50% in 2026. The combination of science, education and direct help to people facing breast cancer has led to a 37% decline in mortality from 1990 to 2013
I walk for so many reasons; I walk for my aunt who lost her fight against cancer travelling the world trying to find the cure. I walk for my friends and coworkers that are fighting the disease. I walk for my friends that are survivors. I walk for friends I have lost to the disease. I walk for my mom and sister. I walk for myself after having a scary mammogram (thankfully OK), but most of all I walk for my daughters, Rebecca and Caitlin, whom I want NEVER to face this.
I have walked in 11 events to date and have raised over $20,000 by your generosity and matching donations. I am incredibly grateful for the support you have shown me over the years. In 2016, I raised $4,600. This year my goal is $5,500. I'm doing 3 events this year; I'm walking in 2 walks (Atlanta and San Diego) and on the Medical Crew team in Seattle!! Your donation can be any amount and it can be spread over a few months! Think about how much you spend on coffee in a month - probably $35. Did you know that $35 can be the transport cost of a patient to a treatment center? If you made a $35 for 4 months, you would pay for a low cost mammogram for someone's mother, wife, daughter who needs it to detect breast cancer early. Last year alone, local funds paid for 5,707 mammograms. People just like you that donated and supported SAVED lives!!
Donate NOW! Let me show you how your dollar is spent and can go to work today!

My daughter Rebecca told me I had "Pink Power!" while on my walk with my crazy pink wig and tutu. I need your help to continue that power and fight the good fight!
This FIGHT does not end until Breast Cancer DOES! But this fight needs YOUR SUPPORT!
Thank you for supporting me!
