I'm in. I am walking 60 miles in 3 days to help bring an end ot breast cancer. My mother in law lost her battle when my husband was still a little boy. Two of Brannon's sisters are survivors. I have lost 2 friends to breast cancer and watched too many friends battle this awful disease! And just this last fall I had a breast cancer scare. I had to have 2 spots biopsied...it changes you. Thankfully mine came back negative. But I will not stop fighting! Join me, won't you!
My goal is to raise $5000 but July 1st. July 1st is a special day, it was my mother in law's birthday and also my dear friend Adrian's birthday-both of these amazing people lost their battle with cancer! So I am marking that as my goal day so that others who may be fighting this awful disease can have MANY more birthdays. Every donation matters. Sometimes people say, "Well, I can only give $5!" And I have to tell you, a $5 donation is no less valuable than a $5000 donation. Each and every donation counts and I truly appreciate every single bit of support! So, THANK YOU in advance for your support!!!
OK, so much has changed in my life since I wrote the above couple of paragraphs, it is actually hard to believe. In case you don't know, my Dad suffered a stroke on February 18 and left this earth on February 21. None of us were ready, but we got as ready as we could. My dad was a 23 year colon cancer survivor and hands down one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders! So, my family asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to Susan G. Komen for my 3 day walk. And BAM, I reached my goal of $2500 long before May 1st. So, I have decided to raise my goal to $5000. Why not? The pain of losing a parent is horrible! Maybe, we can help someone have a little more time with their mom, grandmother, sister or even daughter. With that as a possibility, how can I not try? Thank you for coming to my fundraising page, and I hope that you will join me in this battle!
