The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a charity walk of 60 miles over the course of three days. Net proceeds help support research, scientific programs and community-based health and education programs for women and men facing breast cancer.
I am doing my third three-day this year. (Perhaps I should have invented “The 9-Day” and been done in one shot.)
I have seen first-hand how the Komen 3-Day walks raise both funds and awareness to combat breast cancer. I had some profound conversations with survivors and supporters on the road. And I wore more pink clothing than I had in the previous five decades of my life.
I am asking for donations to help with the cause and put me back in the pink.
