As a breast cancer survivor, a nurse and as a wife of a stage 4 lymphoma survivor, who was save by drugs developed in part using Komen research dollars, I ask you to join me in my fight to end death from cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds help support research, scientific programs and community-based breast health and education programs for women and men facing breast cancer. Although breast cancer is more common in women it is often more aggressive in men. Research which leads to the development of new drugs and treatment plans also benefits individuals struggling with other forms of cancer. As I mentioned, I am a breast cancer survivor. My husband is a large B cell non-hodgkins lymphoma cancer survivor. We are profoundly grateful for the research that provided the foundation for the development of the drugs and treatments that saved our lives. We are very fortunate. We hope now to extend that good fortune to others through the programs the Susan G. Komen organization funds. Over the past two years I have raised over $4,700 to support the Susan G. Komen bold goal of reducing death from breast cancer by 50% by 2026. In 2018 I will continue to raise funds for this worthy cause. Please considering donating to my walk. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Through your support you, me, we can can make a difference.
