I am hitting the road again this year because we have still not found a cure for breast cancer. Although we have made great advancements in early detection and treatment, every minute, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer. No one should have to face this disease. In order to create a future without breast cancer, I will walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® in San Diego on November 16th- 18th.
It's a 60-mile walk over the course of three days that raises funds for vital breast cancer research and much-needed community programs. This will be my 7th walk, and I will keep walking until we have found a cure. I am tired of hearing the words..."I have breast cancer".
Walking 60 miles is hard, but I won’t stop until breast cancer does. Susan G. Komen® is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has funded more than $889 million in research and provided $1.95 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs serving millions of people in more than 30 countries worldwide.
