I have a favor to ask of you all today; I want you to take a look at your friends list or scroll through your contacts in your phone. How many women do you know? How many of them are your family? How many of them are friends? How many are your best friends?
Now I want you to look at this number: 1 in 8.
That’s how many women (and men) are diagnosed with breast cancer. That’s 12% of the population.
Now look at this number: 19
Every 19 seconds someone is diagnosed with breast cancer.
And now this: 74
Every 74 seconds, someone dies from this horrible disease.
Think about that for a second and let it sink in. How will this effect you? Or someone who know?
I have watched my sister battle this disease, my teammates who’ve become friends, my mother in law has had to fight this and now my best friend of almost 20 years is facing a battle no one should have to face. It’s devastating and unfair but together we can continue to make a difference.
Please PLEASE consider doing something today to help fight this awful disease. Whether it’s donating $5 to my 3-Day Page, volunteering your time to help out our team, being a sponsor for our March Night our event or donating an auction item or getting yourself a mammogram! Every act is important, necessary and GREATLY appreciated.
