It’s official! I am starting my fundraising campaign for my 7th, 60 mile, 3-Day breast cancer walk, which is November 16-18th 2018.
It started in 2010, just 3 years after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I thank my friend Coral for asking me to do this with her the very first time. I didn’t know what to expect, I didn’t know how challenging it was going to be but I took that first “step” to doing something that I think makes an impact.
My daughter Morgan has also started the tradition of participating in this event. This will be her 3rd year as a crew member. She is support for the walkers to make sure they stay fed and hydrated. I’m so proud of her!
Please support me as I take on this incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
