My life long best friend, Brynne Hunter, asked me to join her and her sister, Stacia in this amazing experience. I hope you will support us in reaching our goal. Here are some of the reasons why when she asked me I said yes.
I am walking to support the fight against this disease that impacts so many of us. I am walking to inspire hope, and to channel the strength and love of all of people impacted by breast cancer. I am walking for all the women, men, and children who lost their battle to breast cancer, and for their families/friends forever healing from the fight.
I am walking for the researchers, tech staff, therapists, office staff, nurses, and doctors who show up every day to make a difference in the lives of people with breast cancer.
I am walking for my family, friends, and all their children that I love for the hope of a healthy life. I am walking because I am thankful every day for what has been given to me, and the opportunity for good health.
I am walking for my daughter to help her to see that cancer can be fought, with the hope that she will never have to face hearing those words "breast cancer." I am walking for my husband for all the encouragement he has and continues to give me. Lastly, I walk for my sister, who is my quiet angel who reminded me I was late for my mammogram and stayed on my butt until I got it scheduled. Without her my story may have been different.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. $2300 may sound like a lot but just think about how many people will be impacted by the money raised through donations like yours!!!! Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer.
