That's right I am back at it... this year Forever Joanie Strong is going bigger than ever, we will be taking on the 3-Day, 60 mile walk in Philadelphia.
WHY DO WE WALK?
This year we will walk In Memory of Joanie Kerr, the strongest person we have ever met, a true hero. Joanie battled breast cancer 7 times over a 10 year spand. In 2008 she was diagnosed with Triple negative breast cancer. Through the last 10 years the cancer has come and gone with many rounds of radiation and over 200 rounds of chemo, she fought day in and out for as she called it "her army" her family, her friends, and all those who looked up to her. Unfortunately on March 23, 2018 the beautiful Joanie received her wings and became Our Guardian Angel <3 Although we would do anything to get her back we know that she is with us everyday and is watching over us. She is final pain free, Rest Easy Beautiful!!
I walk for my Gram Gram, Gigi Gaffey, Aunty Lisa, Deb Myrick, Liana Vincini, and all those who have battled breast cancer, who are battling breast cancer, who will battle breast cancer, and those who have lost the fight to breast cancer. We walk in hope that we can help make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer.
This year will be my 7th breast cancer walk, but my first 3 day walk, I am extremely excited to take on this new challenge and experience, but I can't do it alone. I have committed to raising $2300 and I know that I can with all your help and support. Thank you for continuing to support me it means more than you will ever know.
Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
