Dear family, friends & colleagues,
For the fifth year in a row, I will be participating in The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® 60-mile walk with the rest of my team, Les Roberts, in Philadelphia, between September 28th & September 30th.
As most of you know I had decided to create this team, as one of my very dear friend, had been fighting breast cancer for 10 years (she had BRCA1 gene). I wanted to do something to help her…unfortunately on May 19, 2014, cancer was stronger than her, despite her strength and courage...and took her life away. She was 48 years old.
Even if this walk will never bring her back, I want to do something to save other women and men's lives....
Every year in America, more than 40,000 women and men are still dying of breast cancer ! We could be one of those!!!!
Susan G Komen has invested more in breast cancer research than any other nonprofit organizations outside the US government ($889 million to date) and more than double that amount - $1.95 billion - in programs that provide help to those facing breast cancer today.
In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
Please HELP ME IN THIS FIGHT because the more we raise, the quicker we will make giant steps to stop cancer!!! THERE IS NO SMALL DONATION!
