Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
Cancer sucks ass. My friend Angelene asked me to do my first walk 8 years ago. We walked in memory of Aunt Janice that so wanted to see her daughter get married. I walk because my sister's best friend was diagnosed the first year I walked, and fought for 5 years. The nursing honor guard did a beautiful job at her funeral. I walk for Reem, my dental hygenist. She also fought for 5 years. I walk for Donna who is a brave survivor, Melinda is a hero for fighting, for Carrie for bravely fighting, for Diane's mom, for Patty's mom, for Jennifer's mom, for Karen's 3 friends, for Rob's sister. I walk for Tammy's mom's brave 10 year fight. For Aunt Nancy's friend Diana (they were besties). I walk for Nancy as a survivor. I walk for my friend Jeanine as a battle warrior. I will add any name you want. Please just let me know. I walk for those who can't. I walk for those who want to . I walk for those we love. I know when we are out there we have a lot of angels pushing us along through the heat, rain, clouds, fatigue, blisters, sore muscles, achey bones, headaches ( no coffee all day does wonders to you LOL), sunburns, bug bites, bee stings (yes. one year I got stung on the butt!). They keep us safe. Thank you for sharing your angels and your prayers. Thank you for your love and support.
