I'm asking for your support as I walk 60 miles over 3 days in the 2018 Susan G. Komen 3-Day® in two cities, Seattle and Dallas. That's 120 MILES! I'm walking with our daughter, Stacey, who has metastatic breast cancer to help raise money for research to find a cure and raise awareness. Your donation and support will help reach the ultimate goal - the cure for breast cancer!
Stacey was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. The diagnosis very quickly changed to Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, as it had spread to her brain. She had successful surgery to remove one brain lesion that same year, and has had several gamma knife surgeries for other lesions. She continues receiving regular chemotherapy treatments, as there is no cure for metastatic breast cancer at this time. Stacey is living a happy, full and active life today as a direct result of clinical trial treatment made available through funding provided by Susan G. Komen.
Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026.
