Everyone I know has been affected by cancer in one way or another, be it breast cancer or another form of this horrible disease. Cancer sucks. ALL OF IT!!!
My sister-in-law, Stacey, is currently fighting this ugly disease. She has breast cancer metastatic to the brain, is in a clinical trial supported by Komen, and is WINNING!!! My dad lost his fight in 2008, and it changed my life and many others forever. Several very special women in my life fought it, kicked it right in the face, and are survivors -Jan, Susan, my Aunt Pug and Theresa.
I am blessed to be part of an amazing team, Team STEPS (screening, treatment and education programs), and we are PASSIONATE about making a difference because we believe whole-heartedly that everyone deserves a lifetime.
Pink is more than just a color; it represents the impact that each person is making in the fight against breast cancer. That’s why I am walking 60 miles, sleeping in a pink tent, and using port-o-potties so I can make an impact too. I have one 3-Day on the books and I’m doing it again in November 2018-but I can’t do it without your help! Please donate in honor of someone you know who has had cancer and help me reach my goal of $2300. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
