In Oct. 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to 3d imaging & ultrasounds, they were able to find the lump in it's earliest stage. I had a lumpectomy & 21 treatments of radiation. Although it's been 2 years since then, it still feels like yesterday when my rountine mammogram changed my life. I want to walk the Susan G. Komen 3 day because breast cancer changes your life and I want to educate & help change the lives of others for the better.
Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge for a second time in Dallas/Ft.Worth Nov. 2-4. It is worth every ache, every blister & training walk. I believe in this 100%! We can make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer together.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking and raising money—to make that goal a reality. #NoOneFightsAlone
You can help me reach my fundraising goal with a donation. Your donation can honor a tribute. Please contact me for any questions you may have. I love to talk about my 3 Day expierence & the Pink bubble. This walk changed my life. You may join us in Dallas by signing up as a walker of Team STEPS. I understand that 60 miles sounds scary, but it can be done. You can even sign up as a one day walker. That's 20 miles on the last day. Would you want to be a walker stalker? You can follow along our walking routes. Honk your horn. Chant our names and cheer us on. Your enthusiaism is the energy we need to complete 60 miles.
A friendly reminder to always have your annual mammogram. Consult with your phyiscan about 3D screening and ultrasounds. My lump was detected by ultrasound. Early detection is key.
We can reach this goal together!
Thank you for your support!
