Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
I started walking because my Aunt Jo was a survivor, sadly she died before I could complete my first walk. I have realized over the years that almost everyone that I have met has been affected by breast cancer in one way another. Aunts, Mothers, Sisters, Grandmothers, Friends and sadly young Daughters have been fighting this awful cancer. Many are now gone, but because of the research many are still with us and some are considered cancer free. I hope and pray that my grandchildren will soon grow up in a world free of breast cancer.
This will be my 8th year to walk and Davids to be a Walker Stalker for the team. Last year was tough after having lost Rachel, our Homecoming Queen, but it makes me more determined to walk again this year.
Thank you in advance for your support! Prayers for our team and all the walkers are greatly appreciated.
