Feet to Beat Breast Cancer

In the words of Nelson Mandela:  “After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.”

It feels like that quote applies both literally and figuratively to the 2017 Atlanta 3-Day!

Thank you for considering contributing to the Feet to Beat Breast Cancer team in 2018. We are honored to have shared the road many amazing men and women!

It is heartwarming and inspiring to reflect on the genuine strength, courage, kindness, support, encouragement and sense of humor we experienced over the 2017 weekend!  Our team boldly faced the highs and lows, and pushed themselves beyond what’s comfortable to truly experience this event.

Each beautiful and unique individual brought their own special reason for walking. Together, we achieved something great! Your generosity helped our team raise more than $63,000 in 2017. (Making us the highest fundraising team in Atlanta!)   That $1,000,000 fundraising milestone is right around the corner. This year we have a teammate, a young mom, fighting Stage IV breast cancer. We will walk with her in our hearts.

As has become tradition, I share a favorite quote from Nelson Henderson:  “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”

We may never know the individual people whose lives are saved by the money we raised, and our names will not appear in history books for our efforts. We are confident, however, that together we are changing lives, and changing the future. And that is just amazing!

We are committed to a world free from breast cancer, and God willing, all types of cancer. There are still many more hills to climb.

Feet to Beat's response: "Bring it!"
