Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality.
This cause has such a personal and deep impact on my life. When I was 10, my Mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. A year later, she passed away. I am walking to honor her, the fight she waged against this ugly disease and the legacy she left in her passing. I walk for my grandmother, who waged a fight and beat the ugly disease and helped raise my siblings and I. I walk for myself, who was diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene mutation and chose preventative measures. I walk for my son, so that perhaps in his lifetime, the word "Breast Cancer" won't exist. I walk for all those who have battled, all those who battle and all those who may battle.
"I fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith." 2Timothy 4:7
