I have pledged to walk 60 miles with The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® as a member of KAREN'S KRUSADERS - in honor of my sister Karen Persons who celebrates three years from treatment! In addition, I dedicate this walk for dear friends – Karen Newman, Celeste Linthicum, Terri Meyer, Donna Carlson, Sharon Woody, Sharon O'Neale, Beth Groner & Kate Papkin - along with so many more heroes than I can possibly cover here - you are all true living miracles & proof we can beat this monster.
I will train to walk 60 miles in three days in the effort to raise funds to crush cancer. This is where you come in. You can make your donation right here on my webpage by clicking the "Donate Now" button to the right. If you prefer to write a check, check the directions on the bottom of this page (in pink).
The dollars you pledge will support patients diagnosed with breast cancer who are literally fighting for their lives. Your donation will help put food on the dinner table, cover the costs for chemotherapy treatment or facilitate necessary scans to monitor status of their treatment progress. Moreover - research subsidized with breast cancer donations can go much farther than you expect. The medical community pulls together to battle every cancer and your donation could very well save a patient fighting bone cancer, leukemia, sarcoma or pancreatic cancer. All cancers suck – it is that simple. Let’s beat this. I’ll walk – you donate.
While it is difficult to comprehend how a cancer diagnosis can change everything in a single moment - the dollars you donate can make all the difference. Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality. THANK YOU for your support – it means the world.
