More than eight years ago I thought I had experienced cancer like never before. I was not prepared for my own diagnosis with breast cancer. But with the love and support of friends and family and obviously medical support I can proudly say I am a cancer survivor.. But each year I am amazed that my cancer journey continues to evolve. Good friends and family continue to be diagnosed and go through their own journeys. Many can say they are survivors because of advances in medicine and more awareness but we are still losing too many and in some cases way too early. Last year I lost a good friend and realized that my cancer journey will never be over until we can say everyone diagnosed can be saved.
I need you to support me as I once again this October I take on an incredible challenge to make an impact in the fight to end breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. In 2016, Komen announced a Bold Goal—to reduce the current number of breast cancer deaths by 50% in the U.S. by 2026. That’s why I’m walking, and raising money—to make that goal a reality and get closer to ending my own cancer journey.
Please won't you help me make a difference.
