Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds help support research, scientific programs and community-based breast health and education programs for women and men facing breast cancer. I have committed to all 7 Susan G Komen Walks, which means I will walk 420 miles, 60 each weekend, and must raise a minimun of $16,100.00. This does not include any of the personal expenses I will incurr, ie reaching each destination, etc.
I know that most of you know that I was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time on 9 June 2012 and went through chemotherapy lymphectomy, masectomy, and radiation. It was a most difficult experience and I was rediagnosed with cancer on 23 September 2013 and on 4 October 2013 had a cancerous lymph node removed from behind my left breast wall with incisions between my ribs and underneath my left arm pit. More chemotherapy followed and I had to have 7 blood transfusions.
I was declared cancer free on 7 February 2014, however on 21 November 2014 cancer raised its ugly head again and 2 cancerous nodules appeared on my lower right lung. Chemotherapy started again on 5 December 2014. After 6 sessions we found that the Erubilin chemotherapy did not work and 2 cancerous lymph nodes appeared on the upper part of my right lung. I continue to have chemotherapy every other week and right now I am scheduled to have chemotherapy treatments ongoing with no end in sight. I am very grateful for all the prayers which are being said for me and cannot thank you enough.
I need your help and ask you to contribute as generously as you can. I hope that a cure for cancer can be found in my lifetime.
With Love and Gratitude,
