After my seven past 3-Day walks covering the West Coast in San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego (2x), Chicago, Philadelphia and Michigan, this time I'll be walking in beautiful Seattle again. This event is all about raising money to help women and men discover breast cancer early enough to beat it and helping to fund research to ultimately find a cure.
On the morning of September 15th, I will set out to walk every mile over the course of three days along with hundreds of other women and men. Starting before sunrise and finishing close to sunset, and pounding the pavement mile after mile. The picture here on my 3-Day website shows me and my wife, Jennifer (9 years cancer free) as we finished the Philadelphia 3-Day in 2014. I also walk in honor of my mother-in-law (Karen) and Jennifer's aunt (Linda), who have both fought and won the battle against breast cancer.
I have a goal of $3,000 this year and still have a ways to go. So, yes, this is a request for your financial support. I thank you in advance for whatever you can give. Also remember all donations are fully tax deductible. We want to do all we can to help find a cure for breast cancer and until there is a cure, help give everyone who gets breast cancer the best opportunity to be survivors, like Jennifer, her Mom and her Aunt Linda.
Susan G. Komen® is the world’s largest breast cancer organization, funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Since its founding in 1982, Komen has funded more than $800 million in research and provided almost $1.7 billion in funding to screening, education, treatment and psychosocial support programs serving millions of people in more than 30 countries worldwide.
