Are you wondering why we want to walk 60 miles. Well, if I had my choice I probably would not be walking 60 miles. I can definitely think of other ways to spend my time. But....breast cancer hasn't taken a vacation, it's still around and affecting women and men and their families and friends. It's a disease that doesn't play favorites, it strikes anyone regardless of age or race and it doesn't care if you are a woman or man. It's hard enough going through the treatment for breast cancer - chemo and radiation - but the look on the faces of those family members and friends is difficult when they look at you for the first time with a bald head or sitting in the chemo room receiving those deadly drugs that will kill the cancer. It can be devastating. So that's why I am walking. No one deserves to go through this. Everyone deserves a lifetime free of cancer, any kind of cancer. So that's why I am walking and that's why I am asking for your help. Please make a donation. It doesn't matter the amount because every amount will help us get to the finish line. I know I will get to the finish line of the 60 mile walk in Philadelphia this year. Together let's get to the finish line of beating breast cancer. Thank you so much for your support.
Please support me as I take on an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day® isn’t just a 60-mile walk over the course of three days—it’s a journey to the end of breast cancer. Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the 3-Day® help support Komen’s Research and Training Grant Program and large public health outreach programs for women and men facing breast cancer. The remaining 25 percent helps fund local community and Affiliate support and outreach programs.
