Pacesetter’s Big Ol’ Shantys are gearing up for our 4th Susan G Komen 3-Day walk October 7th, 8th and 9th, 2016!
We walk in honor of our Pacesetter family and friends who are cancer survivors or who are in the midst of the battle, and in memory of those that lost the battle. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day™ is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the Komen 3-Day help fund national research and large public health outreach programs. The remaining 25 percent helps fund local community and affiliate support and outreach programs.
If you would like to join this amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer the time to act is now.
To help get fundraising off the ground, SGK partners will provide new walkers who register between April 5th and May 2nd $150 towards their fundraising account. Let’s utilize this opportunity to have our team contribute in a big way!
There are 4 ways to participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk
Pacesetter will pay for the registration cost for an associate, their family and their friends that walk on the Big Ol’ Shanty Team!** The bigger our team, the bigger impact we can have. Donations from Pacesetter associates to the team will be divided amongst the Pacesetter walk participants toward their individual fund-raising goal. The goal set for each person on the walk is $2,300. Do not let that concern you. On average, walkers raise over $3,000 each and they usually reach that goal with just 25 donors or less.
If you are interested in joining as a member of our walking team or as a crew member, please email email@example.com, so we can get your registration completed.
Pacesetter’s Big Ol’ Shantys depends on your support and we would love for you to join the team or support us through a donation!
** (Pacesetter will pay for the registration cost for an associate, their family and their friends that walk on the Big Ol’ Shanty Team: Walkers must be 16 years of age or older. Also, if they are under 18 years old, they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the entire duration of the walk.)
