Y'all!!! I did it!!! I walked 60+ miles over three days to help find a cure for breast cancer. It was a life-changing experience:
- The pink bubble is a real thing. Every person has the same goal, and together we can move mountains!
- Komen miles are different…IJS
- The supporters were terrific! They rose at the crack of dawn to cheer on the walkers. The love and selflessness displayed by these people will live on in my heart!
- You are never too old to do this. The most senior walker was George, who is 89 years old! If he can do it, we all can do this walk!
Because there is still work needed, I have committed to another 60 miles in 2022!
Why, might you ask? Unfortunately, 1 in 8 women will receive a breast cancer diagnosis. Ever younger women are being diagnosed. I remember my former neighbor's 17-year-old daughter had breast cancer. 17! When the most you should think about is some boy, she had to battle breast cancer. Thankfully, she was successful and is thriving. That's why I am committing to walking again because friends and family don't fight or win breast cancer alone. It is up to ALL of US to find a cure for cancer.
I would appreciate your kind donation for research to help bring an end to cancer for all.
With love and appreciation,
Anette
