2022 Dallas/Fort Worth Breast Cancer 3-Day November 4-6
Friends & Family,
This will be my 15th year participating in the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day to raise money for breast cancer research and treatment support. I wish I didn’t have to participate because we had found a cure for this awful disease but unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet so I am continuing to do what I can. Each year we make progress and more lives are being saved thru early detection as we search for the solution. This year, Mary and I will both being crewing in Texas this November.
As a result of your generosity and support over the last 14 years I am proud to say that I have raised over $92,300 to fight for a cure, and with your continued support I hope to push that total past $100,000 this year.
Again this year, I am dedicating my participation to the memory of Linda Dinger, a good friend and coworker who lost her battle with this disease in 2006. I also participate to honor my sister Linda Collins who is a survivor. Unfortunately, almost all of us know someone who has been touched by this disease. Let’s do something now to help future generations.
For those of you who are still working and willing to make a donation, please check with your employer to see if they might have a matching program. I would also be interested to know if any of you can suggest a location where a fundraiser might be held or have any other ideas.
Anything that you might be able to do to support my efforts would be very much appreciated. To donate, visit www.the3day.org, click on “donate” and “find a participant” then insert my name and follow the prompts to donate OR simply go to www.the3day.org/goto/garybertolini to visit my page. It only takes a few minutes – so why not take the time right now.
If you have any questions for me about the work done by Susan G Komen, please don’t hesitate to ask me. If you know others that might want to support this cause with a donation please forward this note on to them. There is no question in my mind that our efforts are making a difference.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Gary Bertolini
