Join me in the fight against breast cancer.
I decided to participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day to honor my mother who passed away from esophageal cancer in September 2011 one month before her 57th birthday.
Since my Mom's successful recovery from breast cancer in 2009 she mentored countless people suffering from cancer offering comfort and advice. Cancer is a horrible disease and as you travel the path of recovery there is tremendous uncertainty, fear, pain and self-esteem issues. My mom through her experience helped others wondering how will they cope. My mother was an amazing person and I am honored to be able to honor her legacy by walking in the 3 day and raising money to find a cure for breast cancer.
I am also walking in support of a close friend and co-worker who was diagnosed with breast cancer just days after her 24th birthday. Rachel has undergone multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation and can now say she is cancer free.
I participated in the 3 day last year and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, this year me and my teammates will be walking in Washington DC.
Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! Your donation, no matter what size, helps us to take one more step towards the eradication of breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.
