I am a breast cancer survivor. The moment the doctor told me "it's cancer" is a moment I will never forget. It was an emotional moment but quickly I realized it was time to fight a disease I never imagined I would be fighting. I am thankful for the support I received from my family and friends during my treatments. I am also very thankful to all of those individuals I don't know who have walked in the many walks and donated their time and money to help find a cure. I pray for the day that no one has to experience the moment I had to experience and the fight I had to fight. Now it is my turn to walk the walk. I hope you will consider supporting me as I join an amazing group of people who are fighting to end breast cancer.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day? is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Seventy-five percent of the net proceeds raised by the Komen 3-Day help fund national research and large public health outreach programs. The remaining 25 percent helps fund local community and Affiliate support and outreach programs.
