On April 30th, 2012 at age 37, my friend, Stacy, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Over the course of eight months she endured every suggested treatment that could aid in ridding her body of this horrific disease. The first procedure was a seven hour surgery to complete a bi-lateral mastectomy.
Followed by a second procedure to have a port inserted into her chest so she could receive four months of the most aggressive chemotherapy regiment available in the United States, the worst of which has been nick named the Red Devil. She lost all of her hair, eyebrows and even her eyelashes. Chemotherapy was then followed by thirty-four radiation treatments.
Stacy has one more surgery to go, reconstruction which is scheduled 106 days before we will walk sixty miles in three days in her honor. My goal is simple, to raise $4,000. Will you help us join the battle!?! Every $1 counts, and I want to say Thank you from me and my team Cureators!! And thank you for all the lives you have helped save in the future!!
