Because everyone deserves a lifetime
On April 30th, 2012 at age 37, my friend, Stacy, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Over the course of eight months she endured every suggested treatment that could aid in ridding her body of this horrific disease. The first procedure was a seven hour surgery to complete a bi-lateral mastectomy. Followed by a second procedure to have a port inserted into her chest so she could receive four months of the most aggressive chemotherapy regiment available in the United States, the worst of which has been nick named the Red Devil. She lost all of her hair, eyebrows and even her eyelashes. Chemotherapy was then followed by thirty-four radiation treatments. She has one more surgery to go, reconstruction which is scheduled 106 days before we will walk sixty miles in three days in her honor. Our goal is simple, to raise $23,000.00 and help find the cure for breast cancer.
Stacy is not done battling breast cancer. She is committed to devoting herself to the cause, and because I have been touched by this disease more than once, its my time to fight back as well.
Please help team Cureators spare others, including our youth from future cancer.
Your compassion and generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you,
