Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure -Seattle 2011, me at the Ballard Locks
|
Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure® is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.
In 2011, I had the amazing opportunity to meet the most incredible people who are working to help ease the pain and suffering caused by this disease, while participating in my first 3-Day walk throughout Seattle. I learned that not only does the Komen organization make fundraising a total joy, but their research and advocacy are just a part of what is offered to the public. Information that honors those affected by breast cancer is available en masse on their ever changing website and via programs that are made available to anyone who wants to learn more or actively take control of their health. This is something that I am proud to support and I know you will be too.
Over the 60 miles, several breast cancer survivors and people currently undergoing chemotherapy literally passed me effortlessly! These people are a force to be reckoned with. One mentioned to me that she would rather walk 20 miles in a day than to have cancer. What's pretty amazing is that you don't have to walk 20 miles - I have that covered. Simply donate today, and keep this momentum alive!
xoxo
