I can't believe this will be year THREE for me! This walk started out as an attempt to find closure for the loss of my grandmother.  Not only did this event provide me with much needed closure, with its power, its strength and its energy -it provided me with a true mission to do all that I can to help find a cure for this deadly disease.

People ask WHY I walk. 

I walk for my Grandmother.

I walk for my Aunt.

I walk for my Friends. 

I walk for my Co-Worker. 

I walk for my Friend's Mother.

I walk for a CURE.

This is why I've decided to WALK ON in 2012...

Many of you know my story. 10 Years Ago this year, the heart of my family was taken. My grandmother was my heart; she was the
soul of our family. It was the get-togethers at Grandma's house
that we all looked forward to. She loved to cook, she loved to spend
time in her garden, she loved to watch her soap operas, she loved to
laugh, she...well, she loved us. Unconditionally. One of my
fondest memories of her dates way back to even before elementary
school, it would be Saturday morning, my mother would drop me off at
Grandma's house. Mom would give me a kiss and leave for work. As
soon as my mom would leave, my grandma would let me take a sip of her
coffee, she'd let me take a piece of her croissant and dip it in
her coffee. This was our special time with each other. Every Saturday.
Every single Saturday. For years! Until my mom forgot something one
Saturday, ran back inside and saw me taking a sip of the coffee!
Grandma was in trouble and so was I!! He-he, tooo late, her little
girl was already addicted to her FAVORITE drink in the whole world,
coffee! I miss you grandma.

Please support me as I continue on my amazing journey in the fight to
END breast cancer! To end ALL cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for
the Cure is a 60-mile walk over the course of 3 days. Net
proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure are invested
in breast cancer research and community programs.

Wholeheartedly - I believe that we are getting closer to finding a CURE.
