Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day TM is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.

Like so many participants in the 3 day walks this is a personal commitment for me.  When my mother was 44 she lost her 16 year long battle with cancer, and I was only 19.  While my mom put up a hard fight against this disease I know that she would've liked to hold on to the life that she loved a little longer.  I'm a mother now of a 3 year old, and by the time the walk rolls around I'll be 5 months pregnant with baby number 2!

I'm walking because no other mothers should have to leave their children's lives before they experience graduations, weddings, and grandchildren.  I also walk for the children of cancer patients, because they shouldn't know the pain of watching their parent fight a disease as cruel as cancer.  Children should also never experience the loss that this disease can cause.

I'm walking because I truly believe that everyone deserves a lifetime...a lifetime that is healthy and breast cancer free.
