As a young breast cancer survivor and mother, I am passionately dedicated to raising funds for research to help find the causes & cures of this disease so that my children will never have to hear the words that shattered my world on September 7, 2005, "you have breast cancer."
Please consider pledging your support as I continue on this deeply personal journey in the fight against breast cancer in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60 mile walk with proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment.
On November 16 - 18, 2012 I will be walking for my fifth time in San Diego's Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. This 60-mile walk is not only an opportunity to raise desperately needed money for critical cancer research & treatments, but for me, it is an opportunity to celebrate my survivorship and walk in bold defiance of the disease that threatened to take my life nearly 7 years ago. The disease that threatened to rob this world of our two miracle babies, Annagrace & Jonah...both of whom were born after my diagnosis and treatment. This year I will again be walking in celebration of not only my life, but more importantly, in celebration of their lives and my promise to them to work towards finding a cure for breast cancer so that they never have to face this horrific disease.
