My name is Kevin Sanchez.  My Mom, Pat, was diagnosed with breast cancer 9 years ago.  I was 7 years old and while I felt the impact in my life, I never felt it more than this past December when she was diagnosed again with breast cancer.  This experience brought back memories from 9 years ago but also brought on new feelings that I do not remember feeling before.  It was emotional, scary and a tough time for all of us.

 My Aunt Sheila, was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago.  She went through much of the same that my Mom went through.  My Aunt Sheila is also my Godmother and we are extremely close.  Again, it was a scary and emotional time.

A month ago, another sister of my Mom, Jane, was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Again, we are very close and I was so taken back that I felt like I was frozen in time.  I could not grasp how this disease could be striking everyone I care about and love.

My Aunt Jane has walked The Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 mile walk since my Mom was first diagnosed with breast cancer.  As I started to think through all that has happened, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to do more to support those that I love.  I asked my Mom to help me get signed up.  I have committed to the Arizona 3-day Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk but I must raise at least $2,300.  I don't have a lot of money, and I can't find a cure for cancer, but I found out that there was something that I could do to help.  I can walk...   SO, I AM WALKING IN SUPPORT OF MY MOM AND MY AUNTS!!!

 Statistics say that every 19 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone is diagnosed with breast cancer, I knew I wanted to do something about it.  In addition, many statistics say that approximately 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime.  3 out of 5 sisters in my Moms family have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Finding a cure for this devastating disease is very important to me.  I know that I can make a difference but I need your help.
