It's a 60-mile walk over the course of three days that raises funds for breast cancer research and community programs. It has been an incredible experience participating the last two years, so I am doing it again this year.

Two years ago, I was honored to walk in the place of a young woman who had planned to walk but was unable to because her breast cancer had reoccurred.  Six weeks before the event and undergoing treatment again, she realized she would not be able to walk. I asked her if I could be her fill-in and walk in her place. She agreed.  Thankfully, she is doing well.
