Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure® is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the 3-Day for the Cure are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.

This will be my 4th 3 Day event in 5 years. I took last year off because of an injury and quite frankly, I wanted to sleep past 4am on the weekends. I missed my fellow walkers though and when I went to cheer them on at the event this year, I just knew that this is a part of me. As most of you know, this is very personal for me and sometimes still very emotional, even after 12 years. As I train all summer, I meet others with personal stories of themselves, their friends and family members. It hurts, but also fuels my committment to fight - to raise money and awareness by challenging myself and giving of my time and energy (and money). Training all summer and getting up so early is tough, but it's part of what you have to do to be able to participate. The walk is just the icing on the cake and the fruition of months of hard work. Those that walk (and crew) are truly amazing individuals and I want to be right there fighting with them!
