For the 5th year, I will walk 60 miles over the course of three days to benefit breast cancer research and awareness, and I need your support to help me raise $2300 to participate.

I walk because within six years, both of my children were diagnosed with cancer, my son in 2002, and then in 2008 my daughter with breast cancer.  When she thought she had it beat, it reared its ugly head again in the summer of 2010.  As of today, she is still cancer free and doing well.  No man, woman or child should ever have to tell someone they love I have cancer. Having to watch a loved one, let alone your child, endure numerous surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy and days of being to sick to get out of bed, is emotionally devastating. 

Without a cure, one in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. They?re making great strides but there?s still no cure and everyone deserves a lifetime.
